Over the years, we have continuously expanded our capabilities, enabling us to meet a wide variety of needs in the shortest possible time and to foster long-term customer relationships.

As an employer in the region, we would like to continue to grow at our Kreuztal-Buschhütten site in the future. However, we do not equate growth solely with becoming bigger. As a company, it is also always about growing together and rising to challenges as a team.

The phoenix effect

Getting the best out of your products – that is our stated aim. That's why we also like to talk about the phoenix effect in this context. Just like the firebird of legend, your work pieces have an entirely new splendour after annealing and impress with new, improved quality. Just as the phoenix is reborn from the flames stronger than before, your work piece comes out of our furnaces as an enhanced, refined product.

For our future

Some of our day-to-day work processes involve high energy consumption. We do not simply accept this without taking action. That is why we are constantly optimising our energy use and implementing technical measures in various areas to improve our energy efficiency. We have already invested in an entire fleet of electric vehicles and are implementing a smart energy management system for our furnaces and production hall.

Milestones

Key milestones shape the history of our company. We would like to give you a brief insight into and look back at the years since 1996 – but the history of the company should not by any means be limited to the individual milestones. All told, it is the small steps every day that make us successful as a company: assuming responsibility to customers and employees and handling one product after the next which meets the highest standards.

1996

Founding of the company: by Robert Debus † on around 300 m² on the former SMS company site in Buschhütten.

2004

New construction in Buschhütten: construction of an entirely new company headquarters across roughly 6,000 m² in Kreuztal-Buschhütten.

2007

Plant II extension: The new site is already being expanded. With Plant II and a new annealing furnace, it is now possible to process larger components.

2012

Plant II: Plant II is being expanded with a new building approximately 70 metres long. With a focus on customer needs, state-of-the-art machining of large components is carried out here.

2014

Phoenix effect: the phoenix effect highlights the philosophy of the company: “Bringing out the best” becomes the new company claim.

2018

New annealing furnaces: a new annealing furnace as well as annealing in two new electric furnaces working for all they’re worth to process your work pieces.

2021

25 years of DEBUS annealing: we celebrate our success together with the entire team and are highly motivated to continue meeting all of our customers’ requirements in the future.

2023

Conversion of our blasting system: With the conversion of our blasting system, we are optimising the use of resources - thanks to the new control technology.

By now, we have been processing work pieces and machine components of all types with the highest standards for industry since 1996 for all sectors.

Individual test annealing processes

We are happy to facilitate individual test annealing processes until the material meets your requirements and provide you with experience and advice.

Annealing process with digital documentation

Here we describe the procedure for our annealing processes, which are trusted by customers from all over Germany, as well as from Italy, Switzerland and Austria.

Customer specifications & requirements: Do you have very specific requirements or need advice on the annealing process? On request, we can carry out bespoke test annealing for complex workpieces until the material meets your requirements. Our experienced staff are on hand to assist you throughout the preliminary planning stage.

Furnace programming and attachment of the thermocouples: Once all the preparations have been completed, the furnace is programmed and the thermocouples are attached to your workpiece. All our heat treatment furnaces are equipped with different temperature zones and are digitally controlled – this enables us to achieve the fastest possible cycle times and precisely controlled holding times.

Annealing process and permanent documentation: Thanks to the fitted temperature sensors, your workpiece can be monitored 24/7 if required, and the annealing process is recorded. Important holding times can be viewed in minute detail afterwards.

Tamper-proof documentation and long-lasting results: Bringing out the very best – our promise of lasting results is also based on our commitment to providing you, at all times, with accurate data and tamper-proof documentation that verifies the progress of our annealing processes.

Handover with annealing certificate: Once the annealing process is complete, we will hand over your workpiece, which has been perfectly treated for further processing, together with an annealing certificate that guarantees verifiable quality. You can also request a retrospective diagram at any time, should this be required.
